Gay Pride events scare me. Some would think it is my duty, as a gay, to celebrate my faggotry, by wearing a lot of leather, a peach daiquiri in one hand and the waist of a muscled hunk in the other, in the presence of drag queens, bull dykes, moustached ex-ex-gays, twinks wearing make-up and with Madonna heaving out of amplifiers. This is my worst nightmare? One, drag queens scare the fuck out of me, two, bull dykes are intense and hideous to look at and three, I hate Madonna. Anyway, I’m fine with calling myself gay, I just think it’s stupid to wave a rainbow flag around and march in the streets. And look, I’ll go to gay bars and ironically dance to Vitamin C mashed with P. Diddy and drink bacardi breezers and have a great night, but anytime you try to get me to attend a Gay Pride event, don’t be offended if I never speak to you again. I hate 95% of gay men. Exactly 45 minutes ago, I had 3327 emails in my inbox here at work. 691 of those were unread. I now only have 109. This is such a weird/absurd/awesome feeling.
